Buyer protection
A buyer on this desk is covered by a demo ledger, a revision count, and an admin dispute. Checkout holds cents in that ledger. No card is charged, and no bank sends a payout. Real payments stay off until a later launch. This page is the rule for the ledger that exists today. It is not insurance and it is not a promise from a bank.
Demo escrow
Placing an order moves the package price, plus any add-ons and minus a promo, out of the buyer's demo balance and into escrow. The seller does not receive those cents yet. Accept releases them as a payout on the seller's demo balance. Cancel, before accept, writes a refund back to the buyer. A tip is a separate line after the order is already complete. Display prices in EUR or GBP are labels. The hold is always USD cents.
The order page shows when escrow is holding funds. A printable receipt lists the order and a tip when one exists. Use the browser print dialog. No PDF is generated, and nothing leaves this desk for a bank.
Revisions
Each package includes a revision count. After a delivery, the buyer can ask for one more pass while a revision is left, and the note says what to change. The seller delivers again. Accept is once per delivery. When the count is used up, the seller does not owe another pass. The buyer accepts the work or opens a dispute. A late delivery, past the package window, is a reason to ask for that revision or to open the dispute. The window starts when the order is in progress, after any required answers are in.
Disputes
Either party can open a dispute while the order is still open: waiting on answers, in progress, delivered, or in revision. Escrow stays frozen. Accept and cancel stay closed. An admin on this desk releases the hold to the seller, refunds the buyer, or splits it. There is no outside reviewer and no chargeback network. The resolution moves demo cents only.
Until launch
Fixture balances, demo keys, and this escrow are for trying the desk. They are not a stored-value account. When live card payments are switched on, this page will have to say so. Until then, treat every hold, refund, and payout as a ledger entry you can read on the order.
